Join us for a shiur with Rabbi Sruli Fruchter on the book of Jonah. Sefer Yonah is a story as much about monsters as it is about people. Blending Midrash, psychoanalysis, and traditional commentaries, we will explore what Yonah and Hashem’s compassion mean in the context of Yom Kippur, and what it might mean for us today.

Rabbi Sruli Fruchter is a writer and editor covering Jewish philosophy, Israeli politics, and contemporary Jewish issues, and is currently director of product at Jewish Insider. He was previously director of operations at 18Forty, where he hosted the 18 Questions, 40 Israeli Thinkers podcast, and was a contributing columnist at the Forward.
