Educators Cohort

New Smol Emuni US Educators Cohort
Spring 2026

We are thrilled to launch the Smol Emuni US Educators Cohort, a new pilot initiative designed to support educators who are navigating extremely challenging educational moments.

Jewish educators are at the heart of our communities, shaping the next generation’s connection to Jewish tradition, values, identity, and Israel. In recent years, conversations about Israel and Palestine within Orthodox and observant communities have become increasingly polarized. Many find themselves feeling isolated or silenced as they navigate the complexities of the current moment.

What the Smol Emuni Educators Cohort Offers

This confidential, supportive cohort brings together Jewish educators from across North America who are committed to teaching with nuance, compassion, and intellectual honesty.

Participants will…

  • Engage in discussion and collaborative problem-solving of live case studies from the classroom

  • Explore issues that arise in the classroom related to curriculum and content, navigating hard conversations, supporting students to find their voices and interacting with parents, and more

This cohort is about sustaining you—as an educator, a Jewish role model, and a thoughtful guide for your students.

Who Should Apply?

Educators teaching in Jewish day schools and yeshivot in North America who are committed to engaging complexity with nuance, compassion, and intellectual honesty.
