Coexistence, My Ass! follows Israeli activist-comedian Noam Shuster Eliassi as she creates a comedy show by the same name. Shot over five tumultuous years, the film traces Noam’s journey in tandem with the region’s steady deterioration. Raised in the only intentionally integrated Israeli-Palestinian community in the country, Noam grows disillusioned with traditional peace activism and pivots to stand-up comedy. But as her star rises, everything around her falls apart. With biting satire, Noam pushes her audiences to face difficult truths that remind us that another reality is possible.

Libby Lenkinski is the founder and president of Albi, an institute that builds cultural infrastructure for shared society through film, television, and the arts. Prior to founding Albi, she served as VP for Public Engagement at the New Israel Fund, and earlier co-founded and supported such organizations as +972 Magazine, Zazim, and The Whistle. She currently serves on nonprofit boards and advisory bodies focused on culture, media, and human rights.
